Hunt Giant Whitetail Bucks in Missouri!

Welcome to Mid West Sporting Properties, LLC.

It is our goal to offer you the finest trophy whitetail and turkey experience available.  Everyone knows the place to hunt giant Whitetail bucks is the Mid-West. In Missouri, getting a tag is easy.  They are available over the counter - no draws, preference points or lotteries to worry about.

Most of our properties are located in Northwest Missouri, just south of Ringgold County and Decatur County Iowa, in the secluded town of Hatfield, Missouri.

Generally speaking, these properties are right on the Iowa line, so its like hunting the best of two Mid West states all in one hunt!  Further, for you rifle enthusiasts, Missouri is one of the Mid West states which allows use of high powered rifles - so use the weapon of your choice!

Missouri also offers some of the finest turkey hunting available in the U.S. Check Out These Pics!  Turkey hunting - is available on a per weekend (as defined above) basis unless other arrangements are made in advance. Click Here to Download a Turkey Hunting Application

All hunts are self guided hunts. However a hunt administrator will be available to show you the farm location and help ensure your hunt goes smoothly.  Lodging is included with your lease.  We will have a large number of tree stands hung and ready upon your arrival.  They are visibly marked and easy to find.  In addition, some hunting gear is available for your use while on the property.  Bring your own food, water, and refreshments.

These are all privately owned exclusive, low pressure farms.  There will be a few rules for some of the properties involved mainly concerning trophy restrictions, and woodline access, and what we consider minimum gear requirements (Scent Control).    However, there are no trophy fees again for  2008, but we have implemented a penalty system in that if an undersized buck is killed, you will check and tag the deer, but you will forfeit your right to keep the deer.

About Us

We are not Outfitters and we are not Guides.  Further we have no intention of becoming either of these. We're from the east coast (Maryland and Delaware) and love to bow hunt the mid-west.

We own several properties as well as the lodge and we're always looking for additional leases.  However, we do not gun hunt, so we lease out the firearms seasons for our properties and leased properties to guys that like to gun hunt.

.

We simply use the income from these hunts to help offset the cost of running the lodge, leases and paying for food plots enjoyed during all of the fall deer and turkey seasons.  If you are budget minded (as we are) this might appeal to you as you can save allot of money hunting with us verses a guide,  be on farms with much less pressure (vs with a guide) and be on farms where the owners put lots of money into growing big bucks for themselves.   Further, you don't waste any time hanging stands, scouting, wondering where to go, etc as this is all done for you.  Poster size aerial and topographic photos with stand and camera locations are shown for your quick access inside the Lodge.

So why allow gun hunting at all?  When rifle season starts in Missouri, its still bow season (and peak rut - Nov 11th) elsewhere and we head out, from Missouri, to bow hunt other states (including home).  We know if no-one is on the farm, eventually other hunters (trespassers) will move in and hunt.  Your presence ensures this does not happen.  It helps us maintain our herd population and - yes, we're interested in killing giant bucks - even if you kill them, at least we get paid for it.
